Juz 1: The Opening: Al-Fatihah to Al-Baqarah (2:141)

 "Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem" :

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."

This verse is often referred to as the "Basmala" and is recited at the beginning of each Surah (chapter) in the Quran, except for Surah At-Tawbah.
